**NEW DATE: June 20th, 2023**Porgreg pig farm in Quebec, Canada was occupied on December 7, 2019 advocating for Rose’s Law: Animal Bill of Rights. Live streaming and documentation resulted in a government visit and fail report for the “farm”. Those who provided the evidence were all arrested and found guilty of “break and enter” and “obstructing a police officer” for their peaceful occupation. The 8-day trial by judge was in October 2021. The guilty verdict was read April 2022.
“Finally, 3 years after our exposé of a disgusting pig ‘farm’, the judge will sentence us.
At the sentencing hearing in December we learned that the owner no longer has any pigs! We consider that a win.”
Join us in solidarity with the defendants in #PigTrial4 at the Consulate General of Canada in San Francisco on Tuesday, June 20th as we call for them to make a statement on this unjust verdict and show support for the defendants.
Location: we’re meeting in front of the building. 580 California st San Francisco, CA 94104. The Consulate is on the 14th floor but the public is not allowed, so dress warm since we’ll be outside and SF is usually around 50° in the morning.
What: Rally in solidarity by holding signs, chanting and speaking out about unjust systems prosecuting peaceful activists.
