Join us for a fun filled day of local music, local brew, dozens of local vendors, fire spinners, swimming, hiking, kids activities, water slides, and plenty of other fun activities for all ages. This festival was created over 20 years ago to celebrate and support one of Fort Wayne’s natural gems, Fox Island County Park, but now has expanded to include Metea Park as well! Three years ago, Solfest helped Fox Island purchase 4000 trees to assist in replanting the forest that was so heavily impacted by a devastating storm. Now that they have reopened this amazing sanctuary, we will focus on helping them with any current pressing projects that either park may need help with. These two amazing county parks provide us with nature centers and resources that help our community learn and connect to nature. We are excited to be a part of efforts that will see both of our county parks prosper as a resource for sustaining biodiversity and recreation/education in our community. This year we will also be giving back a small portion to FW Youth Market, who is currently providing free crafting classes to our local youth, and also to our nonprofit umbrella organization, Footprints Early Learning Foundation, INC, who is currently supporting a children’s dance collective. Please contact Sarah Loshe 260-494-6905 if you are interested in vending or sponsoring this event!
