As dusk falls over Eliburn, we will uncover a Livingston few people realise still lies beneath their feet - from a lost medieval peel & barracks rebellion to stones, moats & a garden that travelled to Edinburgh.
Starting in Eliburn Park our route will take us along a mixture of paved & unpaved footpaths which can be muddy especially after rain so please wear appropriate footwear. Although most paths are lit by street lighting it is advisable to also bring a headtorch or hand held torch to ensure you have adequate lighting.
Come along & join me as we discover how centuries of conflict, science & survival have shaped the local landscape. We may be lucky as well to spot some wildlife as we pass through woodland & return along Eliburn reservoir.
