Join us at Fishbourne Roman Palace on 27th and 28th July for a fun-packed family-friendly weekend featuring the soldiers of the Ermine Street Guard.Since its formation 50 years ago, the Guard has become the leading society studying the Roman Army and its equipment. Their public display will take you back to 2,000-years-ago when the Roman Empire stretched from Britain across to Persia.
The displays include aspects of the Roman soldier’s training, the shooting of artillery pieces, and a static army camp display.
A range of Roman-themed activities will also be on offer throughout the day – as well as the opportunity to explore the magnificent mosaics and recreated grounds that formed part of Fishbourne Roman Palace.
