A világ egyik legelismertebb és leghíresebb zongoristája, az 1955-ös torinói születésű Ludovico Einaudi 2017-es dupla telt házas Müpa-koncertje után visszatér Budapestre, hogy a filmzeneszerzőként is népszerű muzsikus stíluskategóriák felett álló fellépésével újra lenyűgözze a magyar közönséget. A klasszikus zenétől az avantgárdon át a popos, világzenés hatásokig terjedő összetevőkből egyedit alkotó művész rengeteg izgalmas munkát jegyez legutóbbi látogatása óta.A nyolcvanas évek óta koncertdarabokat és színpadi műveket alkotó, továbbá lemezeket kiadó Einaudi a modern klasszikus populáris zenei kategórián belül a békés, megnyugtató, meditatív posztminimalista iskolát erősíti úgy, hogy számos más hatást is beenged zenéibe. Bátran kísérletezik akár Mali mande zenéjével, akár az örmény duduk hangszerrel, akár a dél-olasz tarantella műfajával, a filmzenés hatások pedig egyértelműek - sok más híres mozi mellett a 2011-es Életrevalók zenéje is nagy mértékben növelte népszerűségét. Hírnevét a 2000-es évek közepén alapozta meg az Una Mattina (2004) és a Divenire (2006) című albumokkal, de önálló világát a 2010-es években is szépen tágította (In a Time Lapse - 2013, Elements - 2015), budapesti bemutatkozása óta pedig igen aktív periódusát éli, például a hétlemezes Seven Days Walking projekttel, amely hét variációt nyújt néhány kulcsfontosságú témára. 2019-ben írt színpadi zenét Bob Wilson-rendezéshez, operát Colm Tóibín librettójából, valamint kísérőzenét az ünnepelt filmhez, A nomádok földjéhez. Underwater című legutóbbi, 2022-es albumát (ennek zenei anyagát hallhatjuk a Müpában) a szabadban, csendben, nyugalomban adott 2021-es koncertjei inspirálták - az érzelmek áradására második budapesti vendégszereplésekor is számíthatunk.

One of the world's most respected and famous pianists, Ludovico Einaudi is returning to Budapest for the first time since giving a pair of sold-out concerts at Müpa Budapest in 2017 to amaze the Hungarian audience once again with a show that surpasses categorisations of musical style. Born in Turin in 1955 and also popular as a composer of film scores, this artist who creates unique sounds out of ingredients ranging from classical music to avant-garde, pop and world music influences has recorded a great deal of exciting work since his last visit here.
Einaudi has been creating concert pieces and works for the stage, as well as releasing records, since the 1980s. He helps anchor the peaceful, relaxing and meditative post-minimalist school within the category of modern classical popular music by allowing many other influences into his own. He boldly experiments with Mande music from Mali, the Armenian instrument known as the duduk, and the southern Italian genre of tarantella. The cinematic influences are clear: his popularity has been greatly increased by his soundtrack for 2011's The Intouchables, along with those of many other films. He made his name in the mid-2000s with the albums Una Mattina (2004) and Divenire (2006) before nicely expanding his own personal world in the 2010s (with 2013's In a Time Lapse and 2015's Elements). The period since his Budapest debut has been a very active one for him, yielding, for example, the seven-disc Seven Days Walking project, which offers seven variations on a few key themes. In 2019, he wrote the music for a play directed by Bob Wilson, along with an opera set to a libretto by Colm Tóibín and the incidental music for the celebrated film Nomadland. His latest album, 2022's Underwater (whose music will be featured at his Müpa Budapest concert) was inspired by his 2021 open-air concerts, surrounded by silence and tranquillity: we can count on an outpouring of emotions during his second guest performance in Budapest.
