Learn the basics of carpentry, power tools and project design in a safe and inclusive environment!Instructors will start off with a tool talk and demo, introducing a number of common hand and power tools, then will open up a forum for questions and feedback.
After getting to know the tools and learning the safety guidelines, participants will get started on building garden support structures.
LUSH Valley will provide all necessary power tools and building materials. Eye and ear protection will be available on a shared basis, but participants are encouraged to bring their own where possible.
🪚 No previous experience required.
🪚 All power tools and building equipment will be provided.
🪚 Advanced registration is required. If you do not register on Eventbrite, you will not be able to attend.
🪚 This workshop is intended for people who self-identify as female or non-binary.

Amber Hamilton stumbled upon natural building and permaculture while travelling in 2012. After working with a number of international organizations, Amber returned to BC and joined the Mudgirls Natural Building Collective. She has a passion for teaching this unique trade, and sharing her knowledge with eager minds and muscles.
