We will contact you if spots become available.Join ANFT certified forest therapy guide, Katie Venechuk, to explore the relaxing practice of guided Shinrin-yoku beneath the October full moon at Blandford Nature Center (BNC)! This program begins with a brief introduction to the background and research of Shinrin-yoku (translated in English as “forest bathing”), how it differs from a hike in the woods, and why it’s internationally recognized as an effective tool for natural stress relief. From there, you’ll be led in a full length (three hour long) Shinrin-yoku experience in the Blandford forest, stepping away from the busyness of day-to-day life for time in nature as the sun sets and the full moon rises. This experience includes a guided meditation, prompts for nature exploration and more – helping you to slow down, notice new details in the world around you and build deep memories of your time outside. We’ll end with a candlelit wild foraged tea ceremony in the woods, offering you a chance to sip a nutritious tea, enjoy a snack, visit with community, and ask our guide questions. From moonshadows to nighttime wildlife, there is so much to discover beneath the full moon! We hope you’ll join us to see what nature has to share with you during this special autumn offering at BNC.
