Join us at the Solar Farm for a fun-filled morning of learning about renewable energy and sustainability. Have a tour of our Solar Farm and see our solar panels in action. This in-person event is a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and learn more about the importance of renewable energy. Don't miss out on this exciting event!

Please note this event is only available to Greater Manchester Residents (excluding Wigan)

Whether you are an individual, family or group of friends book to join a group guided tour of one of the largest public sector Solar Farms, learn how sunlight is converted into electricity to help power our facilities and help towards our carbon reduction targets.

Tours are led by one of our Education Officers and includes the opportunity to ask questions about solar energy and other sustainability actions in Greater Manchester.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A DROP IN SESSION, IT IS A 45min-1 hour TOUR.

About the Venue
The Solar Farm is next to the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Salford Road, the whole visit will be outside come rain or shine! We do not have an dedicated vistor centre at this site, it is just purely a tour around the Solar Farm.

Clothing
As this is an industrial site, legs must also be covered preferably by trousers but leggings or similar are acceptable.
Good strong sensible shoes/walking boots/trainers are recommended.
Please dress in accordance to the weather conditions- waterproofs/ dress warmly.
High Visibility vest will be provided.
Anyone unsuitably dressed will not be allowed on the site tour.
