About this Event
Curious about solar energy?
Join us for a free hands-on workshop for adults (18+) at Ferrybank Men’s Shed. Using solar energy experimentation kits, you’ll learn how to build simple working solar circuits on a breadboard – a reusable base for testing and connecting electronic components – and build your own working solar-powered AAA battery charger. Best of all, you get to keep the kit so you can disassemble and reassemble the circuit and continue your learning journey in your own time and further explore the kit and instruction manual.
- Adults only (18+)
- No technical experience needed
- All workshop materials are provided
- Spaces are limited to 10 participants
This workshop is facilitated by Aileen Drohan from Walton Institute (SETU) in collaboration with Ferrybank Men's Shed, as part of ‘Shed the Light’, a project supported by Creative Ireland and Kilkenny County Council.
