On the morning of Saturday 29th March there will be a partial solar eclipse that will be visible in Durham, so to celebrate we will be running a free family event with Merryoaks Community Hall so everyone can come along and safely view the eclipse.This will be a drop-in event for all ages. We'll have eclipse-themed crafts and activities within the hall itself, as well as solar glasses available so you can watch as the moon's shadow passes over the sun. The maximum takes place at just after 11am where around 40% of the sun will be covered.
