About this Event
In this solar dye jar workshop participants will learn how to create a natural botanical dye bundle using Australian native plants using ochre as a mordant. Attendees with learn the foundational knowledge of the science behind botanical dyes, create natural fibre twine and leave with a silk bandana scarf bundle in a glass jar to keep in a sunny spot for a few weeks. In this workshop Norton will also talk about their arts practice, intention setting with materiality, sustainability, and connection to Country.
