About this Event

Aloha Beautiful Spirits,

Join us for an immersive experience of a silent disco conscious dance on the beach, infused with a cacao ceremony by Victoria Lagerström, followed by opening movement by Matt Hsu, and a DJ mix created by Oceana streamed through silent disco headphones as we dance together on the beach ecstatically.

Please sign up via Eventbrite prior to the dance to ensure your pair of headphones.

-A Mexican blanket (or any cozy blanket) and yoga mat for yoga on the beach and sound bath

What is conscious dance?

Conscious dance is inspired by the principles of ecstatic dance: sober, respectful, barefoot, with high-vibes music focused on creating an internal experience of somatic healing.

What are the guidelines?

We kindly ask you adhere to certain guidelines to maintain the safety and inclusivity of the contianer:

Alcohol and substance free - we will be enjoying a natural buzz from the cacao and beautiful surroundings

Limited to no talking on the dancefloor - we enourage you to drop the conversation and be with your own body, and your own healing journey

Barefoot (it's the beach!) Footwear is okay if you need for health reasons

Consent: Empower yourself! Use your body language to express your sacred "yes" and sacred "no" if you wish to dance with a partner.

No photos: let your experience be free of posturing, and free of needing to capture the moment ~ let your own heart do that, for you :)

What if I can't dance?

Whether you are a seasoned dancer or have never taken a dance class before, this beach dance was made for you. This is an embodied container where we are able to move freely - no posturing, no judgement. Just returning to our roots of movement and nature!

Where on the beach?

163 Addie St Pismo Beach - Park at the free parking lot on Addie St - lining the sand of the beach. From there, walk towards the lifeguard tower. You will see us with a large sandwich board sign that says "YOGA"
