Sohrai Painting is a folk painting tradition that is mostly practised in the villages of Jharkhand's Hazaribagh area. It was traditionally done to decorate the hut walls during the harvest festivals using a limited number of natural pigments. Join us with artist Manikchand Mahto and learn different motifs and techniques used in the Sohrai paintings.The workshop is part of a 3-day festival KALAANGAN showcasing and supporting Indian artisans.
