"SOHA is led by Mary Munsey, a local musician and teacher that recently retired from Virginia Highlands Community College.
The Songwriters of Highlands Appalachian is a Southwest VA, Northeast TN area-based group of folks that like to write song lyrics, music or both. We currently meet monthly in Abingdon VA.
Sometimes exercises are introduced to spawn ideas and sometimes it’s an existing idea that prompts group work. In any event, it’s a fun afternoon with a cohesive collection of thoughtful people."
