My developer experience with Neovim, SwayWM and split keyboards - Simon Dalvai
What if every edit, window move and search was just a keystroke away?
In our March session, together with Simon Dalvai we’ll explore a keyboard-centred developer setup built on Neovim, SwayWM and split keyboards. You’ll get a fast-track to Vim basics, a tour of the Neovim plugin ecosystem, and practical tips for getting started. We’ll then look at SwayWM, the i3 clone for Wayland, and how consistent, scriptable shortcuts make “Alt-Tab” feel like ancient history.
To round things off, there’s a hands-on look at split keyboards: alternative layouts (Colemak, Dvorak), layered firmware, and ergonomic tweaks that can help reduce RSI and boost typing flow. Expect live demos, real-world workflows, and plenty of takeaways for you to adopt right away.
If you’re curious about a faster, more ergonomic way to code, this session will show you how to stay in flow!
