Starring Dwayne Johnson in a career-defining role, The Smashing Machine follows the rise and eventual crumble of one of the MMA’s pioneering fighters, Mark Kerr. This dazzling biopic explores the rocky relationship between Kerr and his partner, played by Emily Blunt, and the physically taxing world of early MMA fighting that takes an unimaginable toll on Kerr’s health.

From Benny Safdie, one half of the Safdie Brothers who directed critically acclaimed hits Good Time and Uncut Gems, this film is his first solo feature and offers a visionary style that throws you head first into the ring whilst exploring the humanity and heart of its narrative.
