The sock knitter is looking forward to running another socks for beginners course starting in January. He'll share the expertise he's gained from knitting about 50 pairs 😁🧦🧦Over the four sessions he will take you through the anatomy of a sock, a lovely stretchy cast on, knitting in the round, constructing the heel flap & heel turn, shaping the gusset & toe and finally grafting the toes together.
All the sessions are on a Saturday 2 - 4pm and the dates are:
3 January - casting on & knitting in the round
17 January - heel flap & heel turn
31 January - gusset shaping
7 February - toe shaping & grafting
The cost is £75 for all 4 sessions or you can pay £20 for individual ones if you don't want to attend them all. You will need a ball of sock yarn and either a mini circular needle or a set of double ended pins. For a 4ply yarn we recommend 2.5mm needles.
