rádi bychom Vás i letos pozvali na Sociologický ples, který se uskuteční 28. 3. 2025 od 19 hodin v Paspově sále (Nádražní 84, Praha 5).
8. ročník plesu se tradičně ponese v duchu protančených střevíců a nezapomenutelné zábavy, ale také Hanse Christiana Andersena a jeho pohádek! 💃🏻🕺🏻 V letošním roce je to 150 let od jeho úmrtí a my si připomeneme, že jeho příběhy nejsou jen pohádkami pro děti - jsou také odrazem společnosti, jejích hodnot, nerovností a proměn. Co má společného Malá mořská víla s otázkou identity? Proč je Císařovy nové šaty možné číst jako kritiku mocenských struktur? A co nám Ošklivé káčátko říká o sociálním vyloučení?
Přijďte si užít večer plný tance, hudby a inspirace a společně prozkoumat, jak sociologie a pohádky odhalují skryté zákonitosti našeho světa. Těšíme se na vás! :)

Dear sociologists and friends of sociology,
we would like to invite you to the Sociology Ball, which will take place on March 28, 2025, from 7 p.m. in the Paspův sál (Nádražní 84, Prague 5).
The 8th year of the ball will traditionally be in the spirit of unforgettable fun, but also Hans Christian Andersen and his fairy tales! 💃🏻🕺🏻 This year marks the 150th anniversary of his death, and we will remember that his stories are not just fairy tales for children - they are also a reflection of society, its values, inequalities and transformations. What does The Little Mermaid have to do with the question of identity? Why can The Emperor's New Clothes be read as a critique of power structures? And what does The Ugly Duckling tell us about social exclusion?
Come and enjoy an evening full of dance, music and inspiration and explore together how sociology and fairy tales reveal the hidden laws of our world. We look forward to seeing you!
