At long last........ ?????? After nigh on 6 years, Sociograss, the Edinburgh Bluegrass collective that you all know and love has finally gotten it together to release our debut album, "Made It All Up"!
Come on down to the Leith Dockers Club on Sunday 1st September to celebrate the release of this record that we have been working on for faaaaaar to long.

SOCIOGRASS
Sociograss is a raucous and rowdy collective of musicians based around Edinburgh, come together for the shared love of the roots music of America. Taking influence from genres including Bluegrass, Oldtime, Early Country, Early Jazz and the roots of the American folk tradition we have formed our own unique style that we are very excited to be sharing with you. We've been lucky enough to play around the UK bluegrass scene and tour our band in Europe and now we are returning to the heart of Leith, where this all started, to send this musical ship out to sea.

The Harry Higgs Quartet is made up from familiar and well established faces around the Edinburgh music scene and recently formed earlier this year. They play a variety of rock, soul and blues classics in an original take with masterful soloing and rock solid rhythm. They are led by frontman and guitarist Harry Higgs, veteran of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and all round exceptional musician.
The quartet features Jacob Steed (guitar, vocals), Nico Jarnoux (Bass) and Ben Collard on Drums.
With roots and influences that span the genres this young band puts a unique and original twist on a timelessly ubiquitous sound. They cannot disappoint, no show is ever the same twice!

Nobody will be refused entry if you are skint, truly all are welcome. Discretely ask the door staff for the "student discount option" and you'll be allowed in for free or for a donation that you can afford.
Leith Dockers has a bar with drinks available for pretty much as cheap as you can expect to get in Edinburgh.
