Meet the Author Headline EventJoin us for our 4th Annual Meet the Author Headline Event and meet a host of local female authors from our business network and the wider region who showcase their books in the Socially Shared Online Bookshop.
Date: Saturday 19th October 11am – 3pm
Venue: St Francis of Assisi Church Hall, Warwick Road, Kenilworth, Warwickshire
There will be an array of fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, poetry, and children’s books for people to browse, buy, and get signed by the authors themselves.
Our Meet the Author Headline Event brings authors, readers, and the local community together for a social shopping extravaganza.
Headline Sponsors —This year’s event is sponsored by Loretta Milan, founder of The Origineurs Podcast, which inspires you to tap into the power of your originality to make amazing things happen and have the confidence to be boldly you in everything you do.
Our second sponsor is Shelley Wilson Writing Mentor. She is an award-winning multi-genre author of over 20 books and a writing mentor for women in business who want to boost their visibility by writing their own books.
Headline Author—We are thrilled to announce that Tricia Stewart, the originator and driving force behind the original WI alternative ‘Calendar Girls’ charity calendar, will attend our event.
Otherwise known as ‘Miss October,’ Tricia’s book, Calendar Girl, charts the story of the calendar from April 1999, including the Hollywood movie and the stage show, culminating in the award-winning West End musical ‘The Girls’ by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth in 2017.
Free Entry! This event is open to the public and so feel free to bring your partners, family and friends along with you.
Free Activity! Win a hamper of goodies, including a £25 National Book Token, by participating in our ‘Author Scavenger Hunt’ competition.
Free Onsite Parking! There’s free parking at the venue and plenty of public car parks in the area (charges apply). The church hall is within walking distance of the main shopping centre in Kenilworth, making it easy for you to make a day of it with plenty to see and do locally.
If you are a woman author located in the Midlands and you are looking for a face-to-face opportunity to sell your books, meet readers and other authors, get in touch as we may still have a stand available. [email protected]
The Socially Shared Online Bookshop does not charge for authors to showcase their books on our website, we simply aim to support and promote local independent women authors. For more information about promoting your book in the bookshop contact [email protected]
