Volunteer with SocialHeart as we help Sunflower House prepare for their Annual Valentine Gala, followed by a "Cheers" at Louie's Wine Dive!
About this Event

Are you looking for a way to meet new people through volunteer service? Do you love putting up the holiday decorations at your own place? Through SocialHeart's "Volunteer & Cheers" events, you can do good, make friends, and give back to local charities in the Kansas City community!

Sunflower House will be holding their 43rd Annual Valentine Gala on Saturday, February 8th at the Overland Park Convention Center, and SocialHeart is thrilled to be able help turn this event into a reality! Sign up for one (or both) of our two shifts: 10AM - Noon or Noon-2PM, to help with decorating, setting up scenery, putting together games, placing signage, setting up auction items, placing centerpieces, and more! Putting on an incredible gala, like Sunflower House is known for, would never be possible without helping hands to set the stage. SocialHeart is so excited to volunteer with our friends at Sunflower House - hope to see you there!

At the conclusion of our second volunteer shift 2PM, you are warmly invited to say "cheers" to giving back as we raise a glass at Louie's Wine Dive and Kitchen (6701 W 119th St, Overland Park, KS 66209) and connect over a drink or two!

NOTE: Volunteers will need to register for this event to be able to volunteer, and to bring a valid ID with them to the event. Sunflower House is a non-profit organization for child victims of abuse that was founded in 1977. It is a non-residential children’s advocacy and abuse prevention center serving Johnson and Wyandotte counties. Their mission is to protect children in our community from physical and sexual abuse through education, advocacy, forensic, medical, and mental health services.
