About this Event
Tiger Green Textiles brings people together to share and learn skills and build confidence. We also have our eye on sustainability, sharing ideas on how to make simple changes to be more sustainable in your everyday life.
We are excited to bring you our new sewing group.
- Are you stuck on a project and need some help from expert sewers?
- Are you looking to upcycle something you already have and want help on how best to do it?
- New to sewing and need some help to get started?
Our sewing group can help you! Come and sew in a firendly social group with help from our experts and the rest of the group.
Sessions will be every Tuesday 10.30am-1pm
Venue: All Souls Community Centre, Ilkeston Road, Nottingham, NG7 3HF.
Cost of this class - Pay What You Can Donation (suggested £10)
You will get use of our sewing machines included in the cost as well as refreshments.
There will be a small selection of fabric and haberdashery available to buy to support yor sewing projects.

Toni Jarvis has been sewing since she can remember. Always wanting to be a ‘Fashion Designer’ when she grew up, she started her first business at 21 - The Shirt Workshop - designing and manufacturing menswear with a focus on bespke shirts. Joining other designers to represent Nottingham at London Fashion Week in 1986. Family, working with young people, teaching sewing classes and launching Tiger Green Textiles has honed her skills further.
Liliana Morales studied Fashion Design in Bogotá where she also launched her own label and boutique store. On moving to Europe she graduated in Visual Merchandising IED, Milan. Her main drive at present is upcycling and original sustainable design. She is a committed member of the wonderful Tiger Community.
