Join expert sewing tutor and pattern drafter Alison Wesley for a relaxing set of 4 2-hour social sewing sessions on Thursday 26 September, Thursday 17 October, Thursday 24 October and Thursday 31 October (each session running from 10am - 12pm).
Looking for inspiration or to improve and learn new skills? Spend time with others who love to sew and join a sewing group that will inspire you in a creative atmosphere.
Your tutor Alison Wesley has over 30 years of garment construction and pattern cutting skills and can help you with any project that you are working on. Get help and guidance with demonstrations and advice on any of your garment sewing dilemmas.
Bring along your own fabric and pattern to start sewing. Alison can then show you how to alter patterns to perfectly fit your body shape, provide knowledge on how to properly use you sewing machine and all its attachments, guide you through any tips and tricks to create the perfect sewn project.
Often sewing patterns and instructions can be some what confusing, if you have your heart set on a difficult project, the know-how of an expert might be just what you need!
Skill level: You need to have basic machine sewing confidence - these sessions provide an opportunity to bring along projects you are working on at home and get help and support with these.
Cost: £80 - includes equipment use - sewing machines are provided but if you wish to bring your own you are welcome.
