We are delighted to have bent Dr. Iain Rudkin FRGS arm sufficiently that he's agreed to give a talk.Iain began working as a field guide for the British Antarctic Survey in 2009 and has continued to work in the polar regions since then. He has camped with penguins, explored unmapped terrain and done some climbing along the way including guiding the highest peak.
Iain will talk about his experience of living and working Antarctica supporting scientists, overwintering and mountaineering. He will attempt to give a flavour of what it's like to be isolated for long periods of time, climb new routes in the depths of winter, and be part of ground breaking science.
Please join us on what should be a very interesting evening. As always there will be mingling.
Thank you Iain for agreeing to this talk.
