Having worked with many new businesses, we know that social media is an area of confusion, complexity but also one of hope and possibility. Led by an industry expert, this course is specifically aimed at new and start-up businesses to support them in opening accounts and being able to use them effectively to build their brand and customer base.There are many easy wins that you'll learn which will help you to maximise the opportunities that social media offers and show you how to avoid the common pitfalls.
This course will have you up and running effectively by the end of the four weeks.
By the end of the course you'll be able to:
Summarise the importance of social media to new businesses
Complete a social media health check for a business
Identify the most appropriate media accounts for a business and set them up
Apply new knowledge to be able to link accounts for promotional purposes
Be able to measure the impact of social media on your business
Identify common social media pitfalls and explain how to avoid them
Please note that there is no session on Monday 6th May due to the bank holiday.

Due to large numbers of people booking onto our courses and not turning up, we are now taking a £10 deposit for each course to help ensure attendance.
You will be eligible to get the deposit back if you attend every session. Or, if you can’t attend, you must:
· Email or contact the tutor or admin team on [email protected] to let them know you can’t make it.
· Still attend at least 70% of the course. Do not book on if you think you cannot attend 70% of the course.
· You must give 24 hours notice to be eligible for the refund.
· If you don’t show up and don’t get in touch, you will lose your deposit.
If leaving a £10 deposit is a barrier because of financial difficulties, please contact [email protected] to talk to us about this.
You must request the return of the deposit within 7 days of the end of the course.
