Social Media Co-Working Sessions by Brass Bee Marketing

Let's work together and grow our social media pages the right way! Smaller businesses, creatives and freelancers need to be promoting their brands online now more than ever. These co-working sessions are FREE and are designed to help you spend focused, productive time creating and sharing content on your social media pages, whilst also interacting with other like-minded people.

Led by award-winning social media and digital marketing expert Catherine Hills of Hastings-based Brass Bee Marketing. Catherine will help guide you through a number of essential social media tasks that you should be doing on a weekly basis. There are also plenty of opportunities to chat, vent, share, support each other, and ask questions.

These sessions have become incredibly popular and are perfect for anyone who feels overwhelmed when marketing their business and needs a bit of structure, accountability, and support as they work.

If you've not shared anything to your social media pages for a couple of weeks and you often have long gaps between your content, these sessions will get you feeling motivated and excited about promoting yourself again!

SESSION TIMES:

10.00 am - 10.15 am - On arrival, order teas and coffees at the bar. You'll be shown where to go! Find your seat, log onto Wi-Fi if you need to, and get comfortable. Plugs are limited, so do make sure your laptops, phones and tablets are fully charged if you can.

10.15 am - 10.30 am - Introductions, casual chat, and overview of the latest social media trends delivered by Catherine. Set your goals for the session - what do you want to achieve?

10.30 am - 11.15 am - 1st working session: Engagement and Content Planning

11.15 am - 11.30 am - Relaxed chat and progress review.

11.30 am - 12.15 pm - 2nd working session: Writing Captions and Scheduling

Open discussions and helpful questions are welcome! But the main purpose of the session is to be productive and work together. Please do not be offended if Catherine re-directs the conversation to a different topic, or politely asks for some quiet working time if people are getting distracted.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring a laptop, tablet, or notepad and pen, in addition to whichever smartphone device you use for social media.

CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING:

Spaces are limited so booking your ticket in advance is essential. We know that in life things happen, so if you need to cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so we can allocate your spot to someone else.

NOT A SOCIAL MEDIA TRAINING LESSON:

While we hope that you will learn a lot of new things during the session, please note that these are NOT social media training sessions with a set lesson plan and learning objectives. The sessions may also not suit someone who is a complete beginner.

WORKING AT THE CROWN:

We're very excited to be hosting these events at The Crown, who are brilliantly kind enough to let us use their space for free. We encourage attendees to support this wonderful local business as much as possible by ordering teas and coffees (the biscotti is also highly recommended!) during the session.

From 11 am, The Crown opens to the public - from this time onwards, it is important that we keep to our allocated table and be mindful of other customers who may come into the pub. There may be more distractions during this time e.g. bar staff having meetings, customers coming in etc.

Want to stay on after the session?

If you intend to stay afterwards for lunch (or a glass of wine), please let Catherine know so she can inform Tess who can book a table for you. If you decide to stay and continue working at The Crown after the session, you are more than welcome to, providing there is space once the pub opens.
