We are hoping to beat the humidity by going inland and up in altitude. For fantastic walks and lovely swimming holes. Join us for our first group getaway! We’re heading to the scenic Mulligans Campground in Gibraltar Range National Park for a weekend of hiking, camping, and camaraderie.
Or just join for a day hike, on Saturday:
We will be leaving the campground at 10am, to walk the Needles walk. It’s only a couple of hours, grade 3 towards the end is an easy rocky section, and a fabulous view.
From there folks can go back to the camp or continue down to the lovely twin creeks walk which is a rainforest stroll. Then choose to either go back to the camp, or continue the loop through fantastic granite country, down through heath, cross Dandhara and back to camp by late arvo.
This gives people lots of options. I plan to do the whole loop.
Dates: Friday to Sunday
Arrive: Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Weekend Highlights:
• Friday: Night walk, bring head torches etc.
• Saturday: 10 am a day group hike.
• Saturday Evening: Think, Campfires, marshmallows, BBQs, social times and maybe some guitar strumming. There is a lovely communal camp kitchen.
• Daytime: Creek swims and relaxation
• Sunday: leisurely breakfast and a 2-3 hour hike
What to Bring:
• Camping gear (tent, car, or caravan)
• Daypack for hiking
• Water bottle (filled)
• Snacks and meals
• Camping chair
Campground Features:
• Flush toilets and cold showers
• Picnic tables and BBQ facilities
• Access to Little Dandahra Creek for swimming
• Proximity to various walking tracks

• From Grafton: 92 km west on Gwydir Highway
• Turn onto Mulligans Drive and continue for 10 km (unsealed road)
