Greetings, Citizens and Occupants of the Empire,It is with great pleasure that I announce an upcoming showcase of the Coopertino’s Augmented Reality systems. During our previous Assembly, several users of the AR systems experienced concerning side effects caused by faulty programming in our antiquated combat training simulations. To ensure the safety of our guests, Axiom Seng Torkog has run a series of extensive tests and assures Captain Gilligan that the systems are ready for extended use! The Axiom was kind enough to demonstrate the safety of our AR systems herself, and Doctor Coda has confirmed that no negative side effects were sustained.
To celebrate, we are giving every guest on the ship the opportunity to experience the finest in Empire AR technology. The famous “Tea Shop” program, developed by Citizen Cartasz Mennok, will be our setting where there will be alcoholic beverages, food, and of course, their famous selection of teas available for purchase. No Chips will be required, though the ancient currency of the time will be in use.

The long-awaited announcement has arrived! We have been working on our search for Empire 6’s new home but in the mean time, we want to catch back up with everyone. During the off-season, we’ve been working to recruit staff, fix the app, work on the game rules, and tweak a quarter million other little bits and bobs. My personal favourite activity has been working with the staff to change the way we think about running LARPs, making it much kinder to the people running the game while improving what we put out (turns out burnout is terrible for creativity. Who knew!?).
This event will be an in-game experience with a few out-of-game moments at the beginning and end. Our schedule looks like the following:
8:30pm - 9pm: Registration and Check-In
9:30pm: Some OOG announcements about the state of the Empire and what’s coming next
10:00pm-12:30am: ‘Game on’ where we’ll be showing off how to use the app, doing some RP, and more!
12:30am-1am: Closing announcements and wind down
1am-2am: Cleanup (anyone who stays to assist will be greatly appreciated and awarded ferroxidite for their Citizenly behaviour!!!)
Players will receive +3 LAPs for attendance and can purchase up to an additional +2 LAPs.
