Club social night – talk with Carole King21st November @ 7pm-11pm
Members-only social evening – dinner and talk
Join us for the evening at The Ridgeway in Smallridge, Axminster, with a two-course supper, followed by a chat entitled Behind the Scenes at XC Eventing – Control and Commentating with Carole King, one of British Eventing’s stalwart figures in this area.
Carole has been a XC controller for around 16 years and has led and been part of XC control teams at every level from grassroots through to Badminton, Blenheim and Chatsworth. She regularly trains and mentors new XC controllers, and has also controlled at pony, junior and young rider European evnets, including at Millstreet in Ireland.
Carole is also a Level 3 show jump judge, which is the highest national level, and is currently Level 1 on the international pathway. She has judged at many county shows, with her highlight being judging the Hickstead Derby.
In her 'spare time' Carole has also recently qualified as a Level 1 FEI Eventing Steward.
Cost £25.00 per person to include a two-course meal.
