On Wednesday, January 29th, we are having a community swap at the Social Circle at noon. What does this mean? As you look around your house with an eye to glowing it up in the New Year, you may stumble on items you no longer want to keep. This swap will be an opportunity to bring into the group those gently used items and see if they find a new loving home! And perhaps you'll come away with something you need, too.
Here are the guidelines:
You can bring in up to ten items ---- they must not be broken, dirty or missing parts.
No clothes. Nothing bigger than a breadbox.
Books you've loved and are ready to pass on are very welcome!
We will lay the household out on tables in order to have an orderly giveaway at the end of the program. We'll talk about what household objects we found are essential, tell stories about what we're giving away (or what we couldn't give away and left at home!), and reflect on how this month of organizing and decluttering has gone for us.
