Join us for a free social bike ride from Spanish City Plaza in Whitley Bay to Blyth South Beach (Mermaid car park) and back. We'll ride on the traffic-free NCN1 route, taking in the sights of St Mary's Lighthouse, exploring the segregated cycle lane through Seaton Sluice, and the scenic Eve Black Way along the dunes to Blyth.
The ride is approximately 10 miles (including the return journey), and we'll ride at a slow and social pace, so it's perfect for most riders. Children are welcome, but please consider the length of the ride. If you'd like to join us for part of the route, you're welcome to - please let a volunteer know at the start if you won't be riding the full route with us.
This is a great way to meet like minded people, discover new cycle routes and enjoy a slow and safe ride along our gorgeous coastline.
Tickets aren't required, and there's no charge to join. The event is supported by CyclingUK's Big Bike Revival and is family friendly. We've got volunteers on hand to help out.
