What began as Sophie Allison’s bedroom-to-Bandcamp exercise became her now-project Soccer Mommy, headlining numerous tours of her own as well as opening for Mitski, Kacey Musgraves, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore, and Wilco. Soccer Mommy’s fourth album, Evergreen, is set for release on October 25, 2024. On the album, Allison faces profound loss while being humorous (like making an ode to Allison’s purple-haired wife in the game Stardew Valley).
