Join the University of Florida Collegiate Recovery Program, with CWC and Gatorwell, this October and learn how to juggle responsible choices with drugs & alcohol. Located on the Reitz Union North Lawn on Thursday, October 23rd, come experience a variety of carnival games with a sobering twist. Step right up to a better YOU through interactive attractions designed to amaze, amuse, and educate!
How It Works: Visit the Check-in table with your student ID to receive your Carnival Ticket stamp card. Visit any combination of six games, activities, or attractions around the Carnival and explore the "Carousel of Knowledge" featuring booths from UF CWC programs, campus partners, and Gainesville community resources. These providers offer vital resources for student health, wellness, sobriety, and academic success! Get your ticket stamped at each stop, then redeem at the check-out table for exciting prizes! Connect with fellow Sober Gators, play games and enjoy snacks while you discover what's possible when you become the ringmaster of your own life choices!

Mental Health and Substance Abuse: Promoting Onsite Awareness and Intervention by guest speaker Ethan Fisher
Step right up, providers, educators, and mental health professionals! Join keynote speaker Ethan Fisher for this specialized afternoon workshop following our morning carnival festivities. Under the big top of mental health awareness, you'll develop practical skills to juggle the complex balancing act of supporting student wellbeing.
This session will illuminate the often invisible early warning signs of mental health concerns that may be hiding behind your students' masks. Explore the tangled relationship between substance use and mental health challenges, while mastering evidence-based intervention techniques that will transform you into a true safety net.

This workshop is the perfect second act of our Sober Summit Carnival Day, bridging the morning's student-focused activities with the evening's community keynote presentation.
