The Soar Catchment Partnership is hosting its first ever celebration event to showcase some of the amazing freshwater conservation projects happening in the Soar river catchment. This free event is an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals with a shared interest in protecting and enhancing the water environment in the Soar catchment.
There will be a range of topics covered, including:
· Urban river restoration
· Species recovery
· Water friendly farming
· Community engagement
· Flood risk
· Citizen science
Speakers will include individuals from environmental NGOs, local authorities, the Environment Agency and more.
We know partnership working is vital to improving our waterways, especially as river catchments cross so many geographical and administrative boundaries. We are proud of the way the Soar Catchment Partnership brings people together to work collaboratively on projects right across the catchment. This event will be a chance to celebrate and reflect on that good work, as well as looking to the future.
