About this Event
Human trafficking is a nationwide crisis, impacting all 50 states and reaching into urban, suburban, and rural communities across every demographic and income bracket. Ohio ranks among the top five states for reported human trafficking cases. Volunteers will be trained to recognize the signs of human trafficking and learn about current local efforts to combat it. They will assemble outreach kits containing labeled soaps and makeup remover wipes printed with the National Human Trafficking Hotline number, and prepare informational folders for distribution. These materials will then be delivered to hotels, motels and shelters throughout the Dayton area to raise awareness and provide resources. Help us fight human trafficking and identify missing youth from the area prior to the Final Four. Volunteers will meet at Keller Hall on the Campus of the University of Dayton. An email will be sent the week before the event with a map and parking instructions.
