Hit the snowy trails together for a fun snowshoe hike to Gem Lake!
About this Event

Join us for a scenic snowshoe hike to the breathtaking Gem Lake! This moderate trail winds through unique rock formations and ponderosa pine forests, leading to the picturesque, frozen Gem Lake nestled high above Estes Park. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the snow-dusted valley below and learn about the area’s geology, winter ecology, and local wildlife from our knowledgeable guide. This hike is ideal for those seeking a bit of a challenge and a rewarding winter adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park’s rugged beauty.

Snowshoe experience is not required. We'll show you how to get strapped in and give you a chance to practice on level ground before we leave the trailhead. This is a great chance to try out a new outdoor skill!
