Bring warmth and sparkle to winter by exploring the surprising color hidden in snow. A snowscape doesn’t have to feel “blah”—even when the world looks gray and white. Snow is simply frozen water, reflecting everything around it, and this workshop will show you how to make it come alive on the page. Learn how to drape snow naturally over the forms beneath it, use atmospheric perspective to create depth, and capture the glow of sunlight on nearby objects against the cool tones of distant snow. Nothing in this class is flat white—this is a session full of color, light, and discovery. Supplies are not included in the workshop fee. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
