About this Event
Snowplow Santa will deliver holiday cheer from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday, December 7! This is the fifth year LTU has organized the FREE event in partnership with Lincoln City Libraries.
Instead of a sleigh, Santa Claus will ride in an LTU snowplow, wave at residents along the route and make brief stops at three Lincoln City Libraries. Families will be able to meet Snowplow Santa and take pictures with him using their own cameras and camera phones.
These are outdoor events with Snowplow Santa visiting a designated area of each library branch parking lot. Following Snowplow Santa’s visits, each library will offer crafts and holiday refreshments indoors.
The schedule is as follows:
- 10 to 10:45 a.m. – Anderson Branch Library, 3635 Touzalin Ave.
- 11:15 a.m. to noon – Gere Branch Library, 2400 South 56th St.
- 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. – Walt Branch Library, 6701 South 14th St.
Residents may track Snowplow Santa’s location on December 7 only by using the City Snowplow Tracker at lincoln.ne.gov/snow. In case of inclement weather, the Snowplow Santa event may be rescheduled to Saturday, December 14, or canceled. For more information on this event, visit lincoln.ne.gov/SnowplowSanta.
