About this Event
From Steve:
Dear Friend:
You’re being asked to step into a grand experiment with me. I’m inviting you to attend one of two open dress rehearsals for my first-ever solo-show. SNOW: [black man. whiteout conditions.] is the true story of a mid-pandemic drive from Reno to L.A. – where I hit a freak snow storm and thought I was going to die. The show will premiere at Solo Fest in San Francisco from January 31st and run through February 2nd. (With a live stream on February 1st). In preparation for this public presentation, my director, Cezar Williams and I are doing this local performance – to share the work in a theater with a friendly, loving audience. To be clear, we will not be looking for notes or feedback. You being in the room and providing a safe space is what this is all about. That’s the gift you’ll be giving me. I hope you’ll chose to join us. The details are below, and should you step into this process, please observe the instructions.
- DO NOT tell me that you’re coming or when. I don’t want to know in advance. Because I’ll be thinking about you (and I don’t want that). Don’t send me regrets either. Respond only through this invite, managed by my assistant, Ashley. Let her know that you’re attending and which performance you’ll be coming to. Any questions please ask her.
- The show is at the Willie Agee Playhouse on Monday, January 27th in Inglewood at 2pm and 7:30pm. Directions are included with this invitation.
- The show runs about an hour.

Steve
