About this Event
Please join the Aeolian Singers as they present an all-Canadian program of choral works that celebrate the winter season. From Sarah Quartel’s Snow Angel, whose messages of beauty, love, and rebirth remind us of our capacity for compassion, to the evocative choral textures featured in works by Christine Donkin and Don Macdonald, and Stephen Smith’s enthusiastic invitation of good cheer, this program invites us all to reflect on this beloved time of year. Rounding out this concert are songs of solace, wonder, hope, and joy penned by luminary singer songwriters Robbie Smith, Jane Siberry, and Joni Mitchell. A perfect way to ring in the season, this concert promises something for everyone. With guest artists Anna Shabalina, cello, and collaborative pianist, Ria Kim.
-”It’s not only children who make angels in the snow.”

About the Aeolian Singers
"Give in to the story, get lost in the sound"
The Aeolian Singers have been part of the fabric of Nova Scotia’s choral community since 1976. With a focus on storytelling and building community, the choir seeks to find a balance between sharing music that is accessible and familiar, and performing works that will challenge both their singers and audience to discover something new, gain perspective or grow in understanding.
