About this Event

Raheny Library and the the Raheny Heritage Society are delighted to present the society's Annual Ray Wickham Lecture online via Zoom on Tuesday 28th June at 7.30pm.

For genealogists, family information is the main draw of online censuses, but they can also be used to shed light on many other aspects of our ancestors, and our ancestors' neighbours. This talk shows what can be done, and how.

Guest speaker John Grenham is the author of Tracing Your Irish Ancestors (5th ed.) the standard reference guide for Irish genealogy. He wrote the "Irish Roots" column in The Irish Times from 2009 to 2016, develops heritage databases, and ran the Irish Ancestors website in conjunction with The Irish Times until 2016. He now runs the successor website www.johngrenham.com
