We are super excited to be welcoming Jack Fenton, The Dorset Dog Trainer to Midlothian (venue details will be sent out to attendees prior to the weekend).
Sniff to Safety is a Nosework framework designed to help dogs thrive! Using a combination of food, toy and human scent, these series of exercises are focused on helping dogs feel safe, maintain their focus and develop their confidence.
There are three key areas that are emphasised - accessibility, environmental and practicality. All exercises can be accomplished by dogs no matter their prior training or experiences, can be done in any environment, and can be set up/practised within a few minutes.
Generally Sniff to Safety is used to reduce reactivity to dogs and people, help dogs feel safe allowing people into the home and as a way of building confidence and the vets and groomers. However the framework works just as well for fizzier or overexcited dogs, as it gives them a focus that fulfills their needs.
Other Nosework disciplines such as Mantrailing and Tracking are naturally interwoven into the framework, and any other skills/scents your dog is on can be utilised with the exercises.
Jack will be with us for 2 days to help you and your dog understand each other better and work together through nosework.
6 Handler Spaces*: 2 Days - £300 ; 1 Day - £100
4 Spectator spaces: £50 per session (there is an am and pm session on each day).
*priority will be given to those who wish to attend both days to give each team the best of Jack's help.
To book your space - email Avril at [email protected] and invoices will be sent out.
