Paint Out at Sneed’s Nursery – Plein Air Competition 2025 - Page 2 RULES FOR THE EVENT:
1. Location: An artist may paint any subject or scene outdoors, provided it is within the
premises of Sneed’s Nursery & Garden Center, located at 8756 Huguenot Rd. Richmond,
VA 23235.
2. Painting Time Period: A work of art must be started and completed, "en plein air", on
either Thursday, October 9th, 2025, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and/or Thursday, October 16th, 2025, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00pm. The event will be held rain or shine so come prepared.
3. Size of artwork: Size of unframed artwork not to exceed 16" x 24".
4. Artist Participants: Participation is open to all. Artists are welcome to participate in the
paint out and are not required to submit their work for jury process.
JURY PROCESS:
1. All paintings must be delivered DIGITALLY no later than 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th
, 2025 for judging. Please email the following information to [email protected]:
- Digital scan of art submission (High quality, print resolution photo; .jpg or .png)
- Please name your piece with your first and last name!
- Artist’s name and contact (email and phone number)
- Title
- Medium and surface
- Unframed size
- Price
2. No more than one (1) artwork can be submitted for the competition per artist
