SnapLab: Photography Studio Sessions is a four-week photography course designed as a complete, multi-class learning experience. This program is structured as a cumulative series, with each session building on the last to help participants develop strong foundational skills, confidence behind the camera, and a personal creative voice.
Rather than a one-time workshop, SnapLab is an immersive course that guides participants through the full photography process over multiple weeks. Each class combines guided instruction, hands-on shooting, and collaborative studio time for editing, critique, and discussion. Participants will practice new concepts in real-world settings and refine their work through feedback and group conversation.
This course is ideal for beginners and developing photographers who want a deeper understanding of how photographs are made. Participants will become more comfortable using their cameras while focusing on universal photography concepts such as exposure, composition, lighting, and image selection. The emphasis is on learning principles that apply across all cameras rather than troubleshooting individual devices.
Over the four sessions, participants will progress from understanding camera basics to applying advanced creative techniques. The course culminates in a refined selection of images that reflects each participantβs growth and personal style.
Any camera participants feel comfortable using is welcome, including DSLR, mirrorless, or smartphone cameras.
