This is a practical workshop, in which you and your dog will participate. We will be using the sight and odour of real snakes. The day will comprise several rotations for each dog and handler, encountering the snake and practising the timing and skill of avoidance. The most important take-away from your session will be that your dog will be learning to avoid snakes, even when you are not present. We have run this course several times and we've received plentiful feedback that the lessons learnt have stuck with the dogs; that they now see or smell a snake and initiate their own avoidance. We do recommend a refresher course with us from time to time so that dogs and handlers are reminded of all strategies.
