Snétberger Ferenc 1988 óta alkot eleven hidat Budapest és Berlin között, ekkor helyezte át székhelyét Németország mostani fővárosába. Az újrakezdés választott hazájában kemény munkával járt, sikertörténetének betetőzése, hogy az ECM kiadó saját művészei közé fogadta. Rendszeresen visszajár Magyarországra, hazai és nemzetközi zenekarokkal lép fel, tehetséget gondoz. Szintén Berlinben él Josh Ginsburg, illetve Toni Snétberger, Harcsa Veronika pedig több évet töltött a pezsgő kultúrájú városban.Többször előfordul Snétberger Ferenccel telefonbeszélgetések alkalmával, hogy pontosítania kell beszélgetőpartnere számára: az itthon és az otthon melyik hazáját jelenti épp. Noha fia, Toni Snétberger már Berlinben született, ő is rendszeresen dolgozik magyar zenekarokkal. Több projektjükben szerepel a zongorista, Tzumo Árpád; ő ajánlotta Ferenc figyelmébe Josh Ginsburg amerikai származású, Berlinben élő bőgőst. Ferenc régi terve volt, hogy kvartettet alapít, e formáció debütáló koncertje épp az Európai Hidak fesztiválon valósul meg. Azért választották vendégüknek Harcsa Veronikát, mert az énekesnő 2014-15-ben Berlinben élt, sőt jazzklubot is működtetett a városban, de közös fellépésük is volt a Művészetek Völgyében, ahol Veronika látta vendégül Snétberger Ferencet.
Az improvizatív gitárjáték mestere és a vele tökéletes harmóniában alkotó művésztársak vadonatúj műsorral készülnek erre az alkalomra. A jazzt, a klasszikus zenét, a roma és latin zenei hagyományokat egyaránt előszeretettel vegyítő Snétberger Ferenc most is több ihlető forrásból táplálkozik, s érzelemgazdag, virtuóz, a meglepetés erejével ható zenéje minden bizonnyal lenyűgözi majd közönségét.

Ferenc Snétberger has been creating a living bridge between Budapest and Berlin since 1988, the year when he moved his site of operations to what is now the capital of Germany. Though starting again in his chosen home was far from easy, his success story culminated in being signed by ECM Records. Ferenc regularly returns to Hungary, performs alongside both Hungarian and international groups and nurtures upcoming talents. Josh Ginsburg also resides in Berlin, while Toni Snétberger and Veronika Harcsa have both spent many years in the vibrant city of culture.
When he's speaking on the phone, for the benefit of his speaking partner Ferenc Snétberger often has to specify exactly which home he is referring to - here, or there. His son Toni Snétberger was born in Berlin and also performs regularly with Hungarian groups. Árpád Tzumo has worked on many of their projects, and also introduced Ferenc to Josh Ginsburg, an American double bass player who lives in Berlin. Ferenc has long planned to found a quartet. Now the Bridging Europe festival will see the group's debut concert. The quartet chose Veronika Harcsa as their special guest as the singer lived in Berlin in 2014-2015, performing in various jazz clubs in the city, while Veronika also invited Ferenc Snétberger to play with her at the Valley of the Arts festival in Hungary.
The master of improvisational guitar play and his creative bandmates operate in perfect harmony, and have prepared a brand new show especially for the occasion. Ferenc Snétberger, who enjoys blending jazz, classical music, Roma and Latin musical traditions, continues to draw on a wide range of sources of inspiration, while his stirring, virtuoso music is sure to impress his audience and spring a few surprises along the way.
