Join Maura McRobbie, author of Smugglers’ Midnight Escape, for our children’s drama workshop.What was it was like to live in Scotland in the 1760s when smuggling was rife? Where were the secret caves and trails? What items were smuggled and where was the loot hidden?What happened if the smugglers were caught?! Inspired by true events and with real smuggling links to Ayrshire, activities will include dressing up and handling artefacts related to the smuggling trade. Suitable for children aged 7-14 years.
