About this Event
We are excited to present, through our SANCHARI series, an evening of Bharatanatyam by Purawai Vyas, an alumni of Sampradaya Dance Academy.
The dancer's body is a repository of memories, encompassing muscle memory, emotional recollections, and experiential learning. These memories are gathered over years of training and performance, shaping the dancer's journey with a rich mosaic of experiences.
Titled ‘Smruti’, meaning memory, Purawai’s solo performance will see her present Bharatanatyam dance pieces that are a collection of her memories that have brought her resilience and joy in her artistic journey as a dancer.
Purawai's performance will be accompanied by Arun Gopinath, Ashwinn Balachandran, Rampragash Saravanabavan, Prushoth Uthayashankar, and Atri Nundy.
