On October 4, 2025, the Pitt County Historical Society will host its first S’mores & Stories event at our Red Banks Church Property (2601 E Firetower Road). The event is open to the public & will run from 2-4 pm. During this family friendly event, society members will share the history of Pitt County, the Red Banks Church, & the Historical Society. We will also share stories about notable residents of our community, including individuals buried in our cemetery.
Attendees are also invited to make a s’more and share a story. Please join us for a great event where you can learn about some local history!
