Self-confessed late starter Simon Marks began his career with an invite to perform as part of the West Coast Blues and Roots Fringe Festival, having been a fisherman, baker, offshore sailor and all manner of life beforehand. From this start Simon continually hit the road gathering his loyal audiences by performing thousands of shows while also releasing 5 independent albums collaborating with some of the nations finest musicians includingBen Franz(The Waifs)Syd Green(Kasey Chambers)Danny McKenna(Jeff Lang) andHamish Davidson(The Davidson Brothers).
Often spontaneous, always entertaining, Simon’s live shows feature songs and stories that are occasionally sad, though more often funny, and are a true joy to be part of and experienced at least once in your lifetime.

SMOKEY SATURDAYS are free entry music sessions held in the Smokey Dan’s courtyard every Saturday from 12-3pm. These unique events feature some of the best performers from the local area and beyond. Experience an amazing variety of music performed by solo artists, duos, and bands from a broad range of genres including rock, pop, blues, folk, country and more. While you listen enjoy a delicious meal from Smokey Dan’s incredible menu.
Smokey Saturdays are free entry and family friendly.
